Dyno Tuning

Johnson Engine Technology (JET) utilizes a Dynojet 250 with an eddy current brake.  We steady state and acceleration tune all types of motorcycles.

Here are some of the benefits that you can experience when JET Dyno Tunes your bike

  • Improved engine power

  • Reduced engine temperatures

  • Improved fuel mileage

  • Easier starting

  • Reduction in engine vibration

Our tuning methodology

  1. Review baseline volumetric efficiency (VE), O2, and timing tables in the base tune

  2. Baseline the current tune of the bike, by incrementally increasing RPM, while monitoring O2 sensor readings - if we detect any major issues with the bike’s base tune, we stop the baseline process and start making improvements.

  3. Develop a safe timing map for your engine's configuration

  4. Optimize the VE and ignition tables for acceleration and steady state running

  5. Make fine tuning adjustments to the timing, VE, and O2 tables

  6. Test ride your bike to make sure the dyno results translate to the street
